NYC free 9-11pm, slides and audio in the barrels by edward morris. 11-12am or so, lloop (barry manalog) brandishing his hot laptop all up in yr face and unleashing relaxation on your unsuspecting overworked carcass. 12am or so, david last presents ongoing collisions with electronic and natural media. sound materials hanging out on the hard drive get arranged and deranged in real time. fractured remnants of videogame sound effects, new compositions for violin, voices of friends, and pushpull-beats made lumpy-smoove. short solo set followed by a textural duet with electroluxious tweak-queen o.blaat.

Wednesday, July 23rd, 9pm Walter Reade Theater (at Lincoln Center) "Game Engine" program at the New York Video Festival. The musical portion of the night is burun, qpe, Glomag, David Last, and Mike Berk. Music composed of nothing but sounds from video games. Details can be found at the Lincoln Center Film Society website.
After-party at Remote Lounge, 10pm-?, with the aforementioned artists and more, including tasty sounds of o.blaat and bubblyfish, and video by Dan Vatsky and friends. |
